Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Atrium Health Cleveland Clinical Decision Unit in Shelby, NC. The 24-bed observation/medical unit cares for chest pain, kidney stones, and minor surgeries, with strong links to hospitalist care.

A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. Requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program, an RN license in the practicing state, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

Where You Will Work:

Join our 24-bed observation/medical unit at Atrium Health Cleveland, where you will care for a variety of patients. Our specialty is observation patients (chest pain, kidney stones, minor surgeries), we also take overflow medical/surgical patients on our unit. We have very strong relationships with our hospitalist group, who provide quality and compassionate care to our patients alongside our nurses.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
