Chippenham Hospital in Richmond is seeking a skilled RN for the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) to deliver patient-centered care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients recently seen in the emergency department, coordinating with medical providers for pre-operative and postoperative nursing.

The role is a Full Time Day Shift. Qualifications include BSN preferred, Virginia RN license or compact license, 1 year acute care experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Virginia RN license or valid Multistate Compact license.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Current BLS certification.

We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). In this role you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients who have recently been in the emergency department.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The RN CDU coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
