Our state-of-the-art Pediatric Operating Room (OR) is located within the Children's Hospital of Richmond, which opened in April 2023. Our Pediatric Perioperative Services Team has transformed pediatric care in the Richmond Region, providing comprehensive services around the clock.
Our facility features six meticulously designed Operating Rooms and two Procedure Rooms, ensuring pediatric patients receive the highest standard of care in a child-friendly environment.
We handle a daily caseload of 12 to 24 cases across various specialties, including Otolaryngology (ENT), Genitourinary (GU), Orthopedics, General, Neuro, Cardiac, and Trauma procedures.
We are committed to excellence in care, backed by a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to patient well-being and comfort. Experience in a Level 1 Pediatric OR is highly valued, but we also welcome OR nurses with at least 1 year of OR experience who are passionate about pediatric care and committed to excellence.
All RNs without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing will be required to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years and complete it within five years of hire unless grandfathered under previous requirements.
Following documented physician/licensed provider orders, practicing within Virginia regulations, guided by the ANA Code of Ethics and established standards.
Organizing work and supervising others, including RNs, LPNs, Care Partners, and administrative staff.
Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays; shift schedules will be coordinated with your Nurse/Practice Manager.
