Job summary

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital / Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Part Time RN for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric unit (ages 5–17). You will perform mental health assessments, administer meds, and collaborate with clinicians and families to develop individualized care plans.

Night 12-hour shifts with every other weekend/holiday. Minimum RN nursing degree and CT license required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

At Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital / Saint Francis Hospital the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric unit provides inpatient care age-appropriate, compassionate, and effective care to patients aged 5 to 17 with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions. Behavioral Health and Mental Health disorders including (but not limited to): Anxiety, Depression, PTSD; Autism spectrum Disorder and AD/HD

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and side effects. Support de-escalation and crisis intervention using trauma-informed care principles.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and families to implement individualized care plans.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Child/Adolsecent Psych experience in a acute inpatient setting experience.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Pay Range: $36.15 - $59.95 per hour

Pay is based on RN experience. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
