Description:

At Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital / Saint Francis Hospital, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric unit provides inpatient care that is age-appropriate, compassionate, and effective for patients aged 5 to 17 with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions, including Behavioral Health and Mental Health disorders such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and AD/HD.

What you will do:

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and side effects, supporting de-escalation and crisis intervention using trauma-informed care principles.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and families to implement individualized care plans.

Minimum Qualification:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN Preferred.
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
• Experience: Preferred: 1+ year of psychiatric or pediatric nursing experience, including 1 year of Child/Adolescent Psych experience. New grads may be considered with a strong interest in mental health nursing.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 8 Hour Evening, 3p-11:30p, Every other Weekend/Holiday.
