Job description

Overview:

Compensation/Benefits

  • $30.11-$49.17/hr depending on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $2.50/hr
  • Night differential $3.00/hr
  • Weekend differential $3.00/hr

Ortho/Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.

Responsibilities:

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data.
  • Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care.
  • Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions.
  • Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
  • Making assignments for the department and being invested in the hospital.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a nurse required.
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) required within 6 months of hire.
