Job summary

Trinity Health in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab – Invasive Prep/Recovery on the day shift. This full-time RN role requires clinical excellence and a collaborative approach to patient care.

The RN provides nursing care, documents services, advocates for patients, and follows hospital policies. Four 10-hour shifts with one late night per week are expected; BLS is required, ACLS/PALS may substitute, with licensure steps for Idaho residency.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross required; ACLS/PALS may substitute for BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care in collaboration with the health care team with ongoing assessment, planning and treatment.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing services and advocates for patient rights.
• Delivers care across age groups and uses hospital policies and safety procedures.
• Performs medications administration and ensures safe operation of patient care equipment.

SCHEDULE:

GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

RN:

Providesprofessional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families. Utilizesresources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Maintainsaccurate and complete documentation of nursing services. Servesas a patient advocate.

In addition to providing handsand servesin a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family.

Expected to exercise competency in judgment,decision-making, implementation of nursing intervention, delegation of function or responsibility, and administration of medications and treatments prescribed by legally authorized persons.

REQUIRMENTS:

RN:

A current RN license is required.

• Multistate licenses – If a nurse moves to Idaho from another compact state and is establishing residency, they must apply for licensure by endorsement and update their primary state of residence to Idaho within 60 days of being hired.

At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.(ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu ofBLS)

Othercertifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

Practices with the rules and regulations defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
