Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking an experienced procedural nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Enjoy a schedule that supports work-life balance with four 10-hour shifts per week and no nights, weekends, or holidays.

• 1–2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Peripheral Vascular procedural setting.
• Active DC RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive pre-procedural assessments.
• Preparing patients for a wide range of minimally invasive interventions.
• Providing continuous patient monitoring during procedures.
• Administering moderate sedation under physician guidance in accordance with hospital policies.
• Recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality care.
