Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking an RN for Cath Lab responsibilities including holding and recovery, with direct and indirect patient care across age groups. You will supervise team members and complete required competencies within the introductory period.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university (preferred).
• Minimum experience: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR.
• Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience preferred.
• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Active Healthcare Provider BLS on hire (ARC or AHA); BLS required within 60 days.
• ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Holding and Recovery nursing in Cath Lab; provides direct and indirect care as condition requires.
• Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are attained.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
Experience:MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience
Certifications:REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hireAHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
