Job summary

Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab. This full-time, days position includes on-call rotation and a focus on safe, high-quality cath procedures and patient care.

The role requires KY or compact RN licensure, an associate's degree in nursing, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Bachelor's is preferred, with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Cath procedures, medication administration and monitoring of Cath patients.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that prioritizes patient safety.
• Formulates and revises an individualized care plan with daily evaluation for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to care team, provider, patient and family.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharge and referrals.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education appropriate to age and culture.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

Job Type: Full Time | Days

Schedule: M-F 3:30a to 2:30p

On Call: every third day through the week (Mon-Thurs) and every third weekend.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Assists with Cath procedures, medication administration and monitoring of Cath patients
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
