Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab in the Critical Care setting. You will care for high-acuity patients, work with a skilled medical team, and contribute to patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time (40 hrs/week) with 9- or 10-hour day shifts and a weekend call rotation. IL licensure, BLS, and preferred BSN are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on population.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with licensure in IL (BSN preferred).
• Critical Care Nursing experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as patient population requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Cath Lab for critical patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Schedule: 40 hours/week with 9–10 hour shifts; weekend call every 5th weekend and one weekday call per week.

Job description

Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.00. A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS is looking for a Registered Nurse in our Critical Care setting (Cath Lab). The RN's are incredibly important members of the medical team who have the humbling task of caring for our sickest and most vulnerable patients. RNs not only provide high-quality medical care, but they also provide a healing touch and a compassionate presence to patients and their families during joyful, stressful and uncertain times.

Position Specifics

Department: Cath Lab

Core Function: Nursing

Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 9 or 10 hour day shift. Weekend call every 5th weekend. 1 weekday call per week.

Location: Decatur, IL

*Up to $20,000 sign on bonus for experienced RN's*

Education Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required. Bachelor's of science in nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.

Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.

Specialty certifications based on patient population such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.
