Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This full-time role offers 7:00 AM–5:30 PM shifts (80 hours per pay period) with on-call duty.

Qualifications

• BSN required or enrolled in BSN program within 6 months from date in position; completion of the BSN within 5 years from date in position.
• Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
• AHA BLS required upon hire; ACLS required within 90 days.
• Experience: Min. 1 year of acute care hospital RN experience required; preferably in cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.

The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
