Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center in Maryland seeks a Clinical Nurse for the Cath Lab to provide skilled, compassionate care across routine to complex vascular procedures, assess evolving patient conditions, and collaborate with the nursing team to develop care plans.

The role offers defined hours (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7:00–3:30; Wed 7:00–5:00) with no on-call requirements, a supportive benefits package, relocation assistance, tuition support, and free parking for associates.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

About the Job

Unit Highlights

The Cath Lab averages 10-13 encounters a day through elective outpatient and inpatient services. Procedures typically done: Vascular angiograms, biopsies, mediport and other tunneled vascular access, drain placements, peg insertions and pain management.

Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7-3:30, Wednesday: 7am-5:00pm, no call requirements

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
