Position Summary

The RN in Cardiology collaborates within a team to coordinate outpatient patient care, supporting clinics and cardiac testing services. Responsibilities include patient assessment, data reporting, education, and care planning in collaboration with cardiologists.

Essential Functions
  • Assess and triage patients' symptoms and arrhythmias, consulting with cardiologists as needed.
  • Coordinate care for testing services, including bubble studies and Definity.
  • Perform or coordinate cardiac stress tests.
  • Manage patient follow-up, education, and transition of care, ensuring understanding of discharge instructions and medication management.
  • Review lab results and clinical worklists, documenting accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN license in California.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Minimum two years of cardiovascular clinic or hospital nursing experience; critical care or telemetry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
Work Details

Shift: 8-hour days, full-time (40 hours/week). Salary range: $58.68 - $88.00/hour, based on experience.
