Job summary

LCMC Health in Louisiana is seeking an experienced RN to join the Cardiology team at West Jefferson Medical Center. You will perform cardiac stress tests, assist with specialized procedures, and support the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires 1+ year of RN experience, current Louisiana RN license, and BLS certification. The position follows day shifts and offers a collaborative work environment with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage all cardiac stress tests and ensure safe patient care.
• Assist physicians with cardiac procedures including TEE, cardioversions, loop recorder implants, tilt-table studies.
• Support sonographers with IV placement and patient care needs in Cardiology.
• Provide comprehensive patient care, monitoring, education, and procedural support for patient safety and outcomes.
• Lead care touchpoints by prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating for your patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure direct patient care.

Your Everyday

• Perform and manage all cardiac stress tests, ensuring safe and appropriate patient care throughout the procedure.

• Assist physicians with cardiac procedures, including transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, loop recorder implants, and tilt-table studies.

• Support sonographers with IV placement and other patient care needs within the Cardiology Department.

• Provide comprehensive patient care, monitoring, education, and procedural support to promote patient safety and quality outcomes.

• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate direct patient care.

• Maintain andadvocatea safe environment for everyone.

• Monitor and engage with your patients, families, andappropriate careteam members concerningsignificant events, patient condition changes, or patient questions and concerns.

• Prevent and treat wounds.

• Monitor and execute Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.

• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.

• Advise and consult with supervisor when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely.

• Initiate patient and family education usingappropriate resourcesand continuum of care services.

• Contribute to the team byassistingothers without being asked.

The Must-Haves

Minimum:

• 1+ years of experience as an RN

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of experience in cardiac
