Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute at Hartford Hospital seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the Non-Invasive Cardiology team. The unit conducts echocardiology and nuclear stress testing, performing thousands of exams yearly with a collaborative team of physicians, technologists and perioperative staff.

The role offers three rotating full-time shifts from 7am to 5pm, with no on-call, weekend rotation, and only one holiday per year in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• Strong cardiology background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support for non-invasive testing in echocardiology and nuclear labs.
• Collaborate with sonographers, technologists, cardiologists and fellows to ensure quality care.
• Maintain three rotating full-time shifts 7am–5pm, with no on-call duties; weekends rotate and one holiday per year.
• Support cardiovascular screening, diagnostic testing, and pre/post-surgical activities.

Job Summary

The Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute at Hartford Hospital is looking for an experienced nurse to join our Non-Invasive Cardiology team. The Non-Invasive Cardiology Department is composed of the Echocardiology Laboratory and the Nuclear Stress Laboratory. Over 14,000 echocardiograms and procedural echocardiograms as well as over 4,500 stress tests are performed yearly on inpatients and outpatients. Our nurses work in collaboration with echocardiology sonographers, nuclear technologists, cardiologists, cardiology fellows, and anesthesiologists to provide strong nursing support for all non-invasive testing. Our nurses play a vital role within these departments by utilizing their nursing knowledge, independence and autonomy. Our Non-Invasive department provides patients with cardiovascular screening, diagnostic testing, and pre and post-surgical testing. This position offers three rotating fulltime shifts between 7am-5pm, no call, rotating weekends, and only one holiday a year within a strong, supportive and stimulating environment

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN required).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
• Strong cardiology background preferred.
