Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a registered nurse for the 5W Cardiac Stepdown, a 34-bed unit specializing in complex cardiac conditions and high-acuity care for MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-procedure patients.

You will provide and coordinate care using the nursing process, adhere to standards, and support a safe, healing environment while utilizing evidence-based practice and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• BLS & ACLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Cardiac/critical care experience preferred.

5W Cardiac Stepdown is a dynamic 34-bed unit located within Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, specializing in the care of patients with complex cardiac conditions. As part of our progressive care environment, 5W provides high-acuity nursing support for individuals recovering from myocardial infarctions, heart failure exacerbations, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures including catheterizations and device placements.

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
