Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiac Stepdown Service Unit (CSSU). In this role, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the hospital. You will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the care of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses.
2. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions utilizing computerized documentation systems.
3. Instruct and educate patients and family members.
4. Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License.
2. BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross).
3. Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia – (within 3 months from hire).
4. NIH Stroke Scale within 45 days of hire.
