Job summary

Ardent in Tyler, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to work day shifts on a PRN basis. The RN provides direct patient care, supports the Cardiologist during procedures, and applies the nursing process to a diverse adult and geriatric population.

On-call duties require arrival within 30 minutes. Candidates must hold a Texas RN license, BLS within 14 days, and ACLS certification to ensure safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced imaging suite.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Assists Cardiologist with procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including cardiovascular studies/interventions and special procedures.
• Treats adult and geriatric patients; ionizing radiation and other imaging modalities are used.
• On-Call is required and you must respond within 30 minutes to the Cath Lab.
• Provides direct patient care during the procedure.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patientcare for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse assiststhe Cardiologist with procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This includes both Cardiovascularstudies/interventions as well as Special Procedure studies/interventions.
• The patient population contains adults,and geriatric patients. Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.
• On-Call is required and the employee must be able to respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes.
• The Registered nurse is responsible for direct patient care during the procedure.
