Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift in Orlando, Florida. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Schedule is 36 hours per week, Days from 7:00am to 7:00pm, with potential for professional development and adherence to hospital standards.

Qualifications

• RN license required and CPR/BLS certification.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and maintain clear communication.
• Document patient information and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
