UH Cleveland Medical Center is seeking Registered Nurses for its operating room team through a 15-week full-time paid perioperative nursing program. The cohort starts November 2, 2026, with classroom, mock surgeries, and precepted clinical experiences.

Post-completion, orientation continues as you gain additional OR knowledge and skills in specialties. The program emphasizes safe patient care, nursing process application, and professional practice development within a collaborative perioperative

Do you have the unique "calling" to become an OR Nurse? The Perioperative Nursing Program may be the right choice for you!

This 15 week full-time paid program, is designed to teach RNs the scrub and circulating role in the Operating Room with the expectation of a long-standing career in an OR setting. The Perioperative Program provides classroom lecture, skill development during mock surgeries and precepted clinical experiences that are integrated to facilitate your success. Following successful program completion, orientation and training continues as you gain knowledge and skills in other clinical OR specialties. Our next cohort starts November 2, 2026!

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
