Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MOSC Operative Services at the Cleveland Medical Center. The role requires providing safe, age-appropriate nursing care in a 6-room MOSC OR within a Level 1 Trauma Center, with on-call requirements and opportunities for tuition reimbursement.

Offering a competitive hourly rate plus a $5.25 elevated rate and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, plus enhanced PTO for long-tenured RNs and free parking.

Qualifications

Must hold RN license in Ohio and Multistate Compact.
BSN preferred; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.
Strong knowledge of nursing process and patient care documentation.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurses: We're hiring for the MOSC Operative Services!

Our 6-room MOSC OR is part of UH Cleveland Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Center, providing 24/7 sight-saving care for eye traumas as well as general, bariatric, urology, gynecology, podiatry, pain, breast, and colorectal surgical services.

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Education

Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or
(ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
(BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
