Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Macon, GA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the 3 East Medical-Surgical floor. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care, delivering safe, evidence-based nursing across the patient care continuum.

Responsibilities emphasize clinical decision making, collaboration with the team, and a patient-centered approach in a busy hospital setting. BLS certification and an RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Education

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

Where You Will Work

3 East is a 20-bed Medical-Surgical floor that provides comprehensive care for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as post-operative recovery needs. This unit is designed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. This unit provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse patient cases. Supportive leadership and ongoing education programs and the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team culture focused on quality outcomes and patient safety.

Primary Patient Population

• Adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, respiratory illnesses, and cardiovascular disorders.
• Post-operative patients recovering from general, orthopedic, or abdominal surgeries.
• Patients requiring telemetry monitoring for cardiac observation and complex medication management.
• Typical Nurse to patient ration is 5:1

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
