Job summary

Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Intervention Unit (CIU) on the Night Shift. The CIU handles cardiac catheterization, elective interventional procedures, electrophysiology testing, ablation, pacing device implantation, and related care with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio and <48h average stay.

Requirements include ADN with BSN preferred and a current RN license; telemetry or cardiac experience is preferred, with the ability to work

Description

Unit Overview: We welcome New Grads! The Cardiac Intervention Unit (CIU) will facilitate care to the following patient populations: patients admitted for cardiac catheterization, elective coronary interventional procedures including PTCA, stent, atherectomy, electrophysiology testing and/or ablation, elective electrical cardioversion, permanent cardiac pacemaker or AICD implantation. CIU's nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. Anticipated length of stay for these patients is less than 48 hours. The unit provides expert quality care to patients utilizing an interdisciplinary collaborative approach in an effort to return the patient to their highest level of wellness. The CIU is committed to providing healthcare that is unmatched in quality, convenience that is patient/family centered.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education Requirements:

• ADN required, BSN preferred.

Job Requirements:

• Current RN license.
• Previous Telemetry or Cardiac experience preferred.
• Exceptional patient care assessment and unmatched customer service skills.
• Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team and patients, and their families.
