Job description

Registered Nurse (RN)—Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)--Full Time Days

Join Texas Health Dallas as a Registered Nurse in the CVICU, a 30-bed unit specializing in advanced cardiac and vascular surgical care. This full-time day shift position offers a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires and requires working 7A-7P, 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.

Location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Department Highlights:

  • Oversee care in a state-of-the-art ICU with board-certified critical care physicians available 24/7.
  • Collaborate with a team trained in critical care, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
  • Staffing ratios typically 2:1 based on patient acuity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • One-year critical care experience or RN residency
  • Cardiac ICU experience preferred (open-heart, IABP, Impella, CRRT, ECMO)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (expiration >3 months preferred)
  • CPI training maintained annually
