More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day. **A Brief Overview** The Registered Nurse - Catheterization Laboratory is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on standards of care and professional nursing practice; accountable for the outcomes of nursing care delivered. **What you will do*** Prepare patients for catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker implantations.* Assist physician in the catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker implantations processes.* Keep patients calm and relaxed during procedures where they’re required to be awake.* Administer appropriate medicine when needed.* Perform proper after procedure care.* Check vital signs of the patient with proper care.* Provide education about medications and care to the patients and families before the discharge. **Education Qualifications*** Associate's Degree in Nursing. (ADN) Required* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. (BSN) Preferred* Master's Degree in Nursing. (MSN) Preferred **Experience Qualifications*** Critical care experience Preferred* Previous Interventional Cath Lab nursing Preferred **Skills and Abilities*** Ability to work with patients, families, physicians and other health care providers with a high level of customer service orientation required.* Must be proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EMR) for patient-level care and coordination.* Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.* Must have ability to collaborate with others to improve quality and address needs. **Licenses and Certifications*** Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required* Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
