Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Type: Full-time, 4-10 hour shifts (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.), on call, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus

Department/Unit Summary

The Cardiac catheterization / EP lab is a busy environment providing procedures such as cardiac catheterization with stents, shockwave, CSI, Rota bladder, Laser, Impella, balloon pump, TEE, ablations, and Cardioversions. We also perform same-day discharge procedures with recovery for 4 hours, subject to discharge criteria. Our schedule is published monthly. Staff work 4 (10-hour) shifts, with on-call duties for weekends and holidays, typically 2-3 days per week and every 3rd weekend, subject to change for vacations. Conemaugh Hospital holds chest pain accreditation and provides 24/7 STEMI call coverage. EP staff work 5 (8-hour) shifts with no on-call or weekend/holiday work. Preference is given to candidates with 2+ years' experience in ER, ICU, or PCU/telemetry.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license and degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
• Critical Care Course or completion within 6 months
• CPR and ACLS certifications or within 6 months
• One year nursing experience
• Arrhythmia and critical care courses or within one year
• Preferred: One year in Cath Lab, RCIS certification
