A Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for medical and surgical cardiac patients, and post-cardiac-cath patients;TAVR patients; ablation and vascular surgical patients, and also receives post-open heart patients. The Cardiac Unit has Coronary Care Unit beds for closer observation of acute MI patients and those requiring IMC care with cardiac/vascular condition. The cardiac cath patients include pacemaker/ICD placements and aneurysm repairs, as well as the traditional cardiac cath/stent placements. All beds have “on-site” telemetry monitoring.
