Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking an experienced Infusion RN in Belfast, ME to provide specialized oncology and hematology care. You will perform infusion therapy, manage central venous access devices, and deliver patient-centered care within ambulatory settings.

The role requires at least one year of Med Surg bedside RN experience, with oncology experience preferred. ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification during orientation and OCN within 2 years of hire are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license and BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days.
• One year of recent RN bedside experience required; oncology experience preferred.

MaineHealth is seeking an experienced Infusion RN to provide specialized care to oncology and hematology patients. This position requires strong clinical assessment, infusion, and IV therapy skills, along with experience caring for patients with central venous access devices. At least one year of Med Surg bedside experience is required, and oncology experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments, accessing and maintaining central lines, performing patient assessments, providing telephone triage and support, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with cancer and blood disorders. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support patient care and clinic operations.

RNs in this role are required to obtain ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification during orientation as well as OCN certification within 2 years of hire.

Summary

The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice. MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $34.35to $46.46 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
