Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN will delegate activities and ensure care aligns with hospital standards and nursing philosophy.

Requirements include NC licensure, peri-venous access proficiency, and competency with moderate sedation; ACLS/BCLS certifications are essential, with Endoscopy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• Successful completion of hospital orientation including age/population specific skills for continuity of care of preoperative patients and/or anesthesia patients.
• Skilled in peripheral venous access.
• Competent to administer Moderate Sedation and assist with Deep Sedation.
• ACLS certification required for Endo.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications by ARC or AHA.

Responsibilities

• The RN prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide quality care.
• Maintains access to patient health information as part of care coordination and units’ standards.

Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Has full access to patient health information.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• Successful completion of hospital and Holding Room orientation which includes age and population specific skills required for continuity of care of preoperative patients and/or patients requiring interventions provided by the Department of Anesthesia.
• Skilled in peripheral venous access
• Competent to administer Moderate Sedation and assist with Deep Sedation
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for Endo
• Certification in BCLS and ACLS by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Certifications per unit-based requirement.
• Endoscopy experience preferred for Endo

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
