Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Medicine Clinical Coordinator

Type: Full-time | 3p-11:30p with EOW and Holidays

Department/Unit Summary

The Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit providing comprehensive mental health care for individuals aged 18-59. Patients over 59 are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The unit manages primary DSM-5 diagnoses, with possible co-morbidities such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and medical conditions. Admission requires medical stability. Safety protocols include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring, and presence during meals and visits. Nursing care includes daily psychiatric assessments, therapy, and medication management, with staff working 12-hour shifts (7A & 7P). Teamwork is emphasized.
