Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Staff Nurse in the Psychiatry focus to support the Wang 8 Injection Clinic and Psychiatry Urgent Care Clinic. This position is: Per diem, 8:30-5p, M-F
Access to behavioral health services is limited due to overwhelming demand and limited supply coupled with high societal stigma surrounding behavioral health conditions- successful first contact and accurate intake triage is critical for connecting patients with the behavioral health providers best suited to care for their needs.
Once a patient has a care provider
- Multidisciplinary care coordination is crucial to ongoing care engagement and providing patients with proactive supports while being responsive to the variety of clinical needs patients have over the course of treatment.
The Staff Nurse functions at the intersect between non-clinical patient service coordinators, licensed social workers and treating providers
- Serving as the conduit for clinical triage decision making and coordinated care collaboration with the patient and family.
The Staff Nurse works with two primary distinct populations in the Department of Psychiatry
- Patients cared for in the Wang 8 Injection Clinic and those cared for on the Psychiatry Urgent Care Clinic, who are engaged in Psycho-Pharmacotherapy with one of our prescribing providers.
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.
