Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for the night shift at Hyland Behavioral Health in St. Louis, MO. The role emphasizes applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care and coordinating closely with other departments to ensure safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet state board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) or complete within 30 days of hire.

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and contributes to care quality across the unit.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
