Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center - Consolidated in Natick seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical patient care per shift. You will supervise staff, support the CNO, and ensure safe, high‑quality nursing care and appropriate resource management.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, following safety standards, and fulfilling hospital incident command duties during emergencies. A state‑approved nursing program and active license are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing.
• Certification: Currently licensed to practice; CPR certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care following safety, risk management, QI, and infection control standards.
• Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Fulfill HICS responsibilities as directed during emergencies.
• Know hospital emergency codes and follow policies for each code.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
• Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
• Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
• Performs related duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Education: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
• Certification: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR.

Preferred:

• Education: Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree).
