Job summary

Saint Mary's Regional Health System in Russellville, AR is seeking a Behavioral Health RN to join our night shift team for full-time work on a 3x12 schedule.

Requires ADN with BLS certification; Arkansas or compact-state RN license; BSN preferred. One year of experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Experience: One year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: Active Arkansas or compact state RN license required; PSOR if relocating.
• Education: Associate's Degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process according to scope and standards.
• Performs plan of care, including meds, specimen collection, clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, transfers, discharges, referrals, spiritual/psychosocial needs.
• Educates patient and/or family according to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Acts as advocate for patient's physical and emotional well-being.

How you'll contribute

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for:
