Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our care team.

You will deliver nursing care using established protocols, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Eligibility includes graduation from an accredited nursing program, Idaho RN license, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and hospital policies.
• Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with providers/leaders.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
