Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its inpatient Behavioral Health unit at the Park Ridge location. This 0.9 FTE role involves 36 hours per week with a 0700–1930 schedule, including rotating holidays and weekends.

You will deliver safe, therapeutic care following established standards and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery. The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program, active RN license in Illinois, and BLS

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.

Adults Wide range of diagnoses, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric conditions. Teamwork, high emphasis on building therapeutic relationships with patients. Highly desired skills include communication, hard-working, multi-tasking, engagement. Collaborative.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Add additional preferred qualifications Minimum 1 year of RN experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
• CPI deescalation certification preferred

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Duties will include medication administration, care documentation, interdisciplinary team treatment planning, 1 to 1 patient communication, advocating for patient needs.
