Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an RN in behavioral health. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and report to leadership. A sign-on bonus is available for this role.

Responsibilities include plan-of-care interventions, documentation, and coordination of care across disciplines. We value compassionate caregivers who advocate for patients’ well-being and participate in ongoing education

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Handle With Care (HWC) preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

How you'll contribute

Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice for behavioral health patients. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.

Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).

Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).

Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.

Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
