Job summary

Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, KY seeks a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care and advocate for patients and families. The RN will perform plans of care, administer medications, document care, and monitor patient status with the care team.

Collaboration across disciplines and patient education are essential to quality outcomes. This role requires an active RN license, BLS within 30 days of hire, and ACLS/PALS per unit requirements.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required per unit specifics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates total nursing care for patients and advocates for them and their families.
• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Coordinates patient transfer, discharge, referrals and psychosocial support as needed.
• Educates patient and family, considering age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Full Time – Lebanon, KY

How You'll Contribute

• The Behavioral Health RN coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
