Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health - 12 hour Shifts $10,000 Sign on Bonus

Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year. This opportunity is with a hospital known for outstanding patient satisfaction and has ranked among the top in its field.

Shift availability:

  • 7 am - 7 pm with every other weekend rotation
  • Must be able to report for shift report - (15 mins)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in nursing field development aligned with facility philosophy and standards
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate patient care through quality Nursing Assessments
  • Document observations, treatments, interventions, and patient responses as per policy
  • Assign Patient Observation Rounds and duties for each shift; ensure staff compliance and completion
  • Review Patient Observation Round sheets for accuracy and completeness twice per shift
  • Serve as a leader and role model for patients and hospital staff; maintain therapeutic milieu

Additional information:

Dover Behavioral Health System is a STAR LRP-approved facility. The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program may provide student loan repayment options for eligible staff (up to $250,000). RN and LPN qualifications apply.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

  • Current licensed to practice nursing in the State of Delaware (or eligible to receive or renew)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Behavioral Health/Psychiatric experience not required—training provided
