Provides administrative support to Nurse Managers and direct reports, including coordinating patient care, performance management, equipment purchasing/management, and data collection.

Role Purpose

The Assistant Nurse Manager supports Nurse Managers by managing staff, coordinating care, and ensuring departmental goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff including hiring, training, assigning work, and evaluating performance.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, and responding to business changes.
• Oversee patient care according to policies.
• Develop and implement care plans.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and communication.
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
