Job summary

Illinois Pain & Spine Institute (IPSI) in Barrington, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with ASC experience for a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule. This full-time position offers a stable outpatient setting with a predictable weekday routine and a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care.

You'll perform pre-operative assessments, intra-procedural care, post-anesthesia recovery, and partner with physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year OR and/or PACU experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• CPAN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients safely through surgical experience from pre-operative preparation through recovery and discharge.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Develop and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care.
• Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

What You'll Do

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• CPAN certification preferred
