Registered Nurse Ambulatory Anesthesia Pain Clinic - Jackson
Responsibilities Include:
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient experience. IV and Infusion experience, Neuro experience is a plus. Good communication, team player, fast learner, able to multi-task, good assessment skills, good IV skills, previous experience in pre/post op care a plus.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principle investigator.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred. Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
** If you have an ADN, you will be required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of start date, obtain your BSN within 5 years of start date.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
