Registered Nurse (RN) - All Shifts - FT/PT - Inpatient Rehab Unit

Join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) at WVU Hospitals — Ruby Memorial Hospital. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide quality inpatient rehabilitation care across all shifts, full-time or part-time.

Position Overview

This role involves delivering nursing care through the nursing process, applying clinical knowledge, and exercising independent judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN will provide professional care within the scope of practice, demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient’s age and development stage.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the WV Board or equivalent state board, or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.
Core Responsibilities
  • Modify patient care plans based on data and individual needs.
  • Use Evidence-Based Practice to inform care decisions.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately within scope of practice.
  • Coordinate with healthcare team, patients, and families to verify care plans.
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to learning needs.
  • Promote effective communication and participate in policy development.
  • Utilize resources effectively, especially in sensitive situations.
  • Engage in quality improvement activities and professional development.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to perform manual lifting up to 35 pounds, using assistive devices as needed.
  • Work involves physical stamina, including standing, walking, and moving materials over 40 lbs.
  • Visual and auditory acuity within normal ranges for patient assessment.
  • Work hours may include protracted, irregular, or night shifts, with exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases.
