Job summary

Accordius Health at Asheville is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our patient‑centered team. You will consult with the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans, administer medications, and monitor patient responses. A compassionate, customer‑service oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in NC is required.

Responsibilities

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer medications and records; report adverse reactions as per policy.
• Educate patients on procedures and care plans.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs accurately.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays; respond to adverse symptoms.
• Provide bedside care for diverse medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
• Assist with dressings, catheters, and IV starts as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure timely documentation.

Shift details:

• All shifts available, 8 hour and 12 hour

What you will do:

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare and administer (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, starts IVs
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
