Detroit Medical Center's Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is one of the largest hospitals specializing in rehabilitation medicine and research. It is renowned for expertise in spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputee care, orthopedics, and catastrophic injury care. The institute includes the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery and the Southeastern Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS), a federally designated model system for brain injury care and research. RIM also operates 31 outpatient sites across southeast Michigan focusing on sports medicine and orthopedics.
Job Responsibilities
The DMC RN is part of the Patient Care Services Team, responsible for nursing care completion by the nursing team. The RN manages patient care activities, applying independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with team members including ancillary and support services. The role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision.
