Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Telemetry unit at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. The role involves delivering safe patient care within the nursing process and coordinating with the care team.

Shifts are days, 7:00am–7:30pm in 12-hour rotations. Candidate must hold a current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and recommended BSN, with ventilator management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice and guidance of patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
