Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit at West Hospital. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and develop care plans to enhance outcomes.

The role requires an RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience in acute or rehab settings. EPIC EHR experience is preferred to support documentation and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate's degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• 1 year of clinical patient care experience in an acute care setting or related facility (preferred).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, document and assess patient condition.
• Evaluate wounds by assessing, staging, photographing, and measuring them as required.
• Evaluate, update and revise the plan of care to meet outcomes.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation – West Hospital

Job Summary

The Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions
• Having a highly diverse medical skillset
• Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting, and assess patient condition
• Assesses, stages, photographs, and measures wounds accurately and in accordance with policy
• Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

Experience

• 1 year of clinical patient care experience in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice (preferred, not required)
• 1 year of experience in an acute rehabilitation facility (preferred, not required)

Training

• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required)
