HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver life-sustaining renal therapies across ICU, stepdown, and treatment suites. This highly autonomous role supports the nephrology team in a 340+ bed acute care hospital.

The schedule is five days per week, weekdays only, starting at 6:30 a.m., with opportunities to manage HD, PD, CRRT, and complex vascular access while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program (Diploma/ASN/BSN).
  • Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact (with 90-day Texas licensure requirement).
  • Current BLS and ACLS per American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 1 year dialysis experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality renal care per state standards.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists and care teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Apply the Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage framework in patient care.
  • Advocate for chronic or acute kidney disease patients and families.
  • Maintain alignment with hospital vision and patient experience goals.
  • Perform daily dialysis nursing duties to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.

Advance your inpatient nephrology practice at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast and deliver life-sustaining renal therapies as a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN). This highly autonomous position is strategically structured to attract dedicated Dialysis, Nephrology, Acute Dialysis, Chronic Dialysis, and Renal RNs who thrive in high-impact, critical care settings. Operating within our 340+ bed acute care facility, you will provide comprehensive renal replacement therapies—including acute and chronic hemodialysis (HD), peritoneal dialysis (PD) management, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) support, fluid volume balance tracking, and advanced vascular access care for AV fistulas, AV grafts, and central venous catheters (CVC) across the ICU, stepdown units, and dedicated treatment suites. Partnering with leading local medical networks like the Renal Specialists of Houston, your clinical practice will be backed by a highly decorated hospital. Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered renal care aligned with departmental requirements and specific state and specialty practice standards.
  • Partner closely with nephrologists and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate clinical care.
  • Utilize proven, established clinical nursing frameworks, specifically focusing on the "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" methodology.
  • Serve as a dedicated advocate for chronic or acute kidney disease patients, families, and caregivers throughout the treatment process.
  • Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and core values to support an unparalleled patient experience.
  • Execute daily dialysis nursing duties to achieve excellent clinical outcomes that directly boost overall departmental performance.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • Current BLS and ACLS issued from American Heart Association required.
  • 1 year of clinical Dialysis experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required.
