Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse to join the 25 & 26 Main Acute Care team on a part-time night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), two 12-hour shifts weekly.

This role offers exposure to a diverse patient population and a collaborative, fast-paced unit. The RN will provide comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, advocate for patients, and coordinate care across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• 1 year RN experience in acute care required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required on start.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting data and synthesizing relationships.
• Forms individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and trends.
• Delivers patient- and family-centered care across the continuum of care.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling while resolving issues.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines to plan transitions.
• Evaluates outcomes and revises care plans as needed.

Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care Unit Job Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their relationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.
• Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.
• Evaluates the process to achieve outcomes, anticipates patient variances and makes revisions to plans of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an associate’s degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient acre care experience
